The subtexts of an artistic work are the theme of this series, which was developed by Tanztendenz and which presents choreographic thought and action in a personal format. During his stay in Munich, the Brazilian choreographer, coach, author and social scientist Paulo E. Azevedo will work on actions in public space, which he calls “anarchic tectonics.” Poetry slammers, dancers and performers from Munich who are interested in a forceful, political and typically Brazilian approach to art in public spaces are invited as local collaborators. Paulo will be accompanied by two of his many former students and colleagues: João Carlos Silva and Filipe Itagiba. They are the protagonists of the performance “Metáfora do Confronto” (“Metaphor about Confrontation”), which Paulo will present together with the results of the workshop on Saturday. The two performers will present a piece entitled “Corpo” on Friday. Afterwards the audience is invited to talk with the guest artists about the themes of body, politics and dance. Paulo E. Azevedo ist Dozent, hat einen Master in Sozialpolitik und ist Doktorand der Sozialwissenschaften, mit Schwerpunkt auf der Anthropologie des Körpers. Seine Forschung umfasst die Bereiche Bildung und Kultur. Seine Erfahrung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass er Theorie und Praxis einfach und spontan verbindet. Paulo ist Coach, Lehrer, künstlerischer Leiter, Schriftsteller, Redner, - ein Schöpfer, der das „Schöne“ in den unterschiedlichen Formen der Existenz wertschätzt, indem er das, was auf den ersten Blick formlos und unnütz erscheint, in Kunst verwandelt, v.a. in lebendige Aktionen, die nachwirken. Vor seinen aktuellen Projekten, wie u.a. der Cia GENTE, gründete und koordinierte Paulo Organisationen im Sozialbereich und leitete Tanzgruppen. Die Aktionen und das Konzept von Cia GENTE, die seit 9. August 2012 existiert, gründen auf langjähriger Vorarbeit. Paule E. Azevedo erhielt viele Auszeichnungen für seine Arbeit, darunter „Rumos Educação, Cultura e Arte“ - des Instituts Itaú Cultural (2008-10), der „Multilinguagens“ des Kultur¬referats von Rio de Janeiro (2013), und der „Klauss Vianna“ von FUNARTE (2010). Darüber hinaus hat er Brasilien auf wichtigen internationalen Kulturveranstaltungen vertreten, wie „Centro e Periferia: a produção da dança contemporanea hoje“ – „Zentrum und Peripherie: Produktion zeitgenössischen Tanzes“, Oslo 2008. Außerdem trat er in verschiedenen Ländern als Künstler, Dozent und Projektkoordinator auf: „Micropoliticas do Corpo“ - Territoire de la Dance, Frankreich 2011), “Membros: corps politique dan(s)e la ville”; Master Projets Culturels dans l’Espace Public, de l’Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (Frankreich 2010), Festival Europalia (Belgien--Brasilien 2011); Seminar "INARTE" (2010 und 2013) im Theater São Luís in Lissabon; "Teatralidade do Humano" (2010) im Oi Futuro Institut, "I Fórum de Dança para Infância e Juventude” Porto Alegre (2014) und „Circuito Literário da Praça da Liberdade“ in Belo Horizonte (2014). Paul hat acht Bücher geschrieben, darunter: “Meninos que não criam permanecem no CRIAM: histórias de adolescentes em conflito com a lei” (2008), “Palavra Projétil” (2013) und “Notas sobre outros corpos possíveis” (2014). Er ist einer der Pioniere des Poetry-Slams in Rio de Janeiro und Gründer des Projektes TAGARELA (o maior poetry-slam do mundo). Neben der Leitung von Cia GENTE arbeitet Paulo an der Fundação Paz.
