 September 20 to September 21, 2024 / 8:00 pm Rosalie Wanka & Paola Evelina STAINS schwere reiter Building on the CAPTURES research project, Rosalie Wanka and Paola Evelina examine the creative and documentary potential of photography for the ephemeral art form of dance. They place the dancing body in different architectural and urban contexts in order to visualise the genius loci through it. The resulting material is brought together in this lecture performance and invites a reflection on the culture of remembrance, which they approach by means of the danced locations as silent witnesses and products of past events. A particular focus is on architecture from the Nazi era in Germany, Austria and Italy. A multimedia installation will also be shown, which can be viewed one hour before and after the event.
