February 06, 2025 / 7 pm 10 years HIER=JETZT Tanz – oder gar nicht Tanztendenz München
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary, there will be a discussion with the initiators of the platform HIER=JETZT and members of Tanztendenz Birgitta Trommler and Johanna Richter.
Artists who have progressed professionally thanks to the HERE=NOW "starter pack" and have received residencies, debut grants, scholarships or invitations to festivals also have their say: Rosalie Wanka, Chris-Pascal Englund-Braun, Anima Henn, Jihun Choi und Jin Lee.
The discussion will be moderated by Thomas Betz (Redakteur Münchner Feuilleton).
Birgitta Trommler and Johanna Richter look back on ten years of HIER=JETZT, look at the development and success of the platform, as well as its effective impulses for the Munich dance scene. This artist-for-artist initiative presents the versatility of contemporary dance in Munich in a more compact way than any other comparable format, thus generating new audiences and interest in dance from the independent scene. The platform is unique in Germany: it provides dance professionals with a professional "starter package" that sustainably promotes further steps in their own choreographic careers. br>
The Norbert Janssen Foundation, which has been supporting the Audience Award of a private donor from New York with a working scholarship since 2022, and the new HERE=NOW residency at Tanzprojekt München e.V. will also be presented.
And there is an outlook for the future: the platform is to be firmly anchored and the now international appeal of this Munich artists' initiative is to be sustainably consolidated.
This "kick-off" for the HERE=NOW platform also marks the launch of the "Open Studios", another format of Tanztendenz that serves to promote young talent.
