So many stories, lines, experiences and no end. “Shard” paints a choreographic picture of how individuals and society deal with trauma. In her latest production, Munich-based choreographer Ceren Oran shares the feeling of loneliness resulting from traumatic experiences and sheds light on the post-traumatic inner states of anger, grief, despair, guilt, helplessness, hyperactivity, fear and isolation. At the same time, she raises questions: Is truthful empathy actually possible? What does support mean in such states of emergency? What do we shy away from?
