RESIDENCIES Hikaru Osakabe and Smadar Goshen Tanztendenz not only offers rehearsal space for Munich-based choreographers, it also regularly awards residencies to artists who are standing close via collaborations or its own formats. Munich-based choreographer Hikaru Osakabe was a participant in the Open Studios 2025 and is researching the topics of boredom and self-doubt [ more ]. The Stuttgart-based Israeli choreographer Smadar Goshen will continue working on the current production "Body that (still) Stands" as part of the 4exchange+ (TanzSüd) network. She will also be offering a professional training session every morning from July 7 to 11 [ more ]. Her show will take place on Wed. July 16 [ more ]. Admission to both showings is free. Come, come! Congrats!! Dance Award 2025 goes to Zufit Simon The City of Munich Dance Award 2025 goes to dancer and choreographer Zufit Simon. This was decided by the City Council's Culture Committee on the recommendation of an expert jury. The prize is endowed with 10,000 euros and has been awarded every three years since 1994.
