INTERNATIONAL CHOREOGRAPHERS’ STUDIO
RESEARCH, EXCHANGE, CHANGE OF PERSPECTIVE
The International Choreographers’ Studio, a regular feature of Tanztendenz, provides a space for artistic research, peer exchange and reflection.It focuses on changing topics related to the socio-political role of art and artists. Participants are invited to learn about new strategies and ways of thinking, question their own position, and develop it further through dialogue.
Choreographers from Tanztendenz curate the programme, inviting colleagues from Germany and abroad to spend a week researching a topic together in its real, metaphorical, and aesthetic dimensions.
The week comprises practical exercises, joint excursions, artistic research and public contributions from internationally renowned guests. The outcome is a polyphonic, cross-media format comprising films, lectures, showings and discussions.
