Ingrid Berger Myhre: „Terms & Conditions“
“A word on its own doesn’t mean much. It is only when it is used that it takes on its meaning.”
“Terms & Conditions” is a solo piece that juggles with language – navigating between literal and metaphorical meanings, rhymes, wordplay and misunderstandings. Where does meaning arise, and who reveals it? Drawing on etymology – the study of the origins of words – Ingrid Berger Myhre explores the interconnections between dance and language.
In her current work in progress, the Norwegian choreographer explores, with great wit, the unspoken connection between language and movement: How does the body become a conduit for language? When do gestures shift meanings – or contradict them?
