Kollektiv Riess Neustadt : THIS TOMORROW
A choreographed concert
THIS TOMORROW unfolds as a choreographed concert. An installation-like structure comprising sound, the body and musical instruments. Pulsating constantly and in a state of perpetual flux, the performers move through cycles of formation and dissolution. The aim: to carry on.
The team explores different configurations of the individual and the collective – with care, melancholy and elation. In THIS TOMORROW, somatic movement research meets sound.
Digital sounds blend with the vitality of the breath, and the effect of gravity on the bodies is explored to its fullest extent across every possible range. How do we break supposedly endless cycles? The work explores post-capitalist visions of the future and the possibility of supporting and pulling one another through perseverance – within the fragile, open space of the present.
