Alter_na_rra_tive Körper explores the question: How do societal notions shape our view of bodies? People of different ages, with different bodies, cultural backgrounds and sexual orientations come together. They discuss ideals of beauty, visibility, and which bodies are seen in our society and which are often not. Dance and video projections showcase bodies in all their diversity: vulnerable, strong, fragile, resilient and ever-changing. The project asks: Which bodies and stories are missing from our notions of normality? And what happens when we shift our habitual perspectives? Artistic audio description forms part of the project. It does not merely describe what is happening on stage.

The performers themselves also use audio description during the performance. In this way, description becomes part of the artistic work and opens up new perspectives on bodies, movement and perception.
