Stephan Herwig: SOMEtimes all it takes is a little more TIME
A key element for Stephan Herwig in this production is the phenomenon of time. On the one hand, this involves working with material drawn from twenty years of artistic and choreographic practice; on the other, it involves exploring temporal structures that go beyond the usual parameters of stage productions.
Drawing on memories of past creative challenges, Stephan Herwig developed a moving physical installation during a laboratory phase with long-standing collaborators. Over the course of four hours at a time, eleven dancers unfold movement sculptures of varying intensities and moods, which gently spread out across the space.
The performers act and react to one another in real time. An invitation to the audience to immerse themselves, to share the space and time with the dancers, and to consciously perceive their own sense of time.
