ZINADA: Nami (WP)
AS PART OF THE TANZWERKSTATT EUROPA
In Nami, Kyung Mee Lee and her daughter Jin Lee share a deeply personal family story shaped by war, trauma, and intergenerational pain. Having both grown up without experiencing maternal love, they embark on a shared journey toward healing, understanding, and reconciliation.
The performance explores how unresolved trauma is passed down through generations and how empathy, listening, and forgiveness can help break this cycle. Blending intimate memories with broader social questions, Nami reflects on solidarity, care, and human connection. The work was created by the South Korean performance collective ZINADA, known for its poetic and physically expressive performances.
