Zufit Simon: Tipping Points - Points Of No Return
The piece explores the concept of tipping points. Originally a term from sociology, it refers to a critical point—the “point of no return”—in a situation beyond which an often irreversible change takes place. Currently, “tipping points” play a role in climate research when it comes to thresholds related to the climate crisis. Moments in which a minor change can trigger a significant and often irreversible effect serve as a metaphor for the fragile balance that prevails in various aspects of life, politics, and nature.
This work draws inspiration from ecological changes, social movements, personal decisions, and the uncertainty of the future. The goal is to illustrate the laws of physics through movement and the interplay of living and material, sculpted bodies in space, and to explore them in a poetic and dynamically dance-like manner.
