The STANDPUNKT.e series – ‘welcome to my world’ has been organised by Tanztendenz München e.V. since 2009. Conceived by choreographer Micha Purucker, the format invites a choreographer to work at schwere reiter for a week and to organise two public evenings. There, the artists provide insight into their artistic backgrounds and sources of inspiration and shed light on the objects, people and thoughts that are central to their work.

Micha Purucker recounts in an interview with Simone Lutz in 2022:

The idea was to develop a format that takes into account choreographic authorship, biographical content and the different mode of communication of dance by ‘talking’ about the corresponding works in a different way. By bringing together and staging interests, preferences, the vectors of a work, a method, etc. in a public situation – by those involved. Choreographers are not actually understood as authors with an agenda. However, they all have a personal ‘trajectory’ that is very difficult – if not impossible – to recognise in individual productions. STANDPUNKT.e is an attempt to reveal this ‘trajectory’ using coordinates determined by the invited artists themselves.

For 17 years, choreographers from various countries have been sharing their artistic backgrounds and sources of inspiration.

The following artists have been guests at STANDPUNKT.e to date:

Jeremy Wade (New York, Berlin), 2009 Pierre Droulers (Brussels), 2009
Charles Linehan (Brighton, Berlin), 2010 Colette Sadler (Glasgow, Berlin), 2011 Ricardo Iazzetta (São Paulo), 2012
An Kaler (Vienna, Berlin), 2013
Claudia Senoner (Munich, Stuttgart), 2014
Nicole Beutler (Munich, Amsterdam), 2014
Paulo Emílio Azevedo (Rio de Janeiro), 2015
Pat Graney (Seattle, USA), 2016

The Tanztendenz München archive contains a wealth of material relating to the series, including photographs, reviews, interviews, posters, postcards and programmes. One example is the first programme from 2009, published to mark Jeremy Wade's guest performance.
