Moritz Ostruschnjak is an independent choreographer, teacher and dancer based in Munich. Born in Marburg (Germany), he studied at the Iwanson School of Contemporary Dance in Munich
and completed his studies with Maurice Béjart in Lausanne.
Followed by engagements at the Tanztheater Nürnberg, Nationaltheater Mannheim, Introdans (Netherlands) and the Göteborgsoperan Danskompani in Sweden. He worked with Ultima Vez / Wim Vandekeybus, Sasha Waltz, Frank Chartier (Peeping Tom), Tilmann O’Donnell, Rui Horta, Roberto Zappalla, Mats Ek, Stijn Celis, Michael Keegan Dolan, Gunilla Heilborn and others.
Since 2013 he is working as an independent choreographer, freelance and in various theaters. In Munich, he already realised the solo Project „Island of Only Oneland“ and „Text Neck“, a dance performance for three dancers and three musicians. His last work „I had absolutely no reason to move in any direction „was shown at the Stadttheater Pforzheim. Since 2016 Moritz Ostruschnjak is a member of Tanztendenz München e.V.
